Wuthering Waves teases its latest upcoming character mere days after update
I enjoy the image of WuWa introducing two characters this week, then immediately kicking them into a bin for Aemeath
It feels like only this week that we covered the new Wuthering Waves update, because it was! Yet time waits for no man, and even though new heroes Lynae and Mornye are still box-fresh, we already have a look at who our next recruitable character will be. Enter, Aemeath.
Aemeath attended Startorch Academy as a Synchronist before somehow ending up as a digital ghost that can’t be seen. More proof this is fantasy sci-fi Hogwarts; invisibility cloaks. Now, I did call it "space" Hogwarts in the last article, but that was because I accidentally thought of Honkai: Star Rail, so I am correcting myself now.
Besides being a 5-star character, this is all the official information that we have been given. So, instead, we shall throw journalistic integrity out the window and speculate with wild abandon.
Or somewhat tethered abandon, at any rate. There is a reputable leaker named Seele in gacha circles from whom this information has come. So we are fairly confident that at least the majority of this will be right, but if you aren’t a fan of unofficial information that this is where you should stop reading.

For you rest of you, let’s dive in. She is said to be a Fusion element that wields a sword, joining Brant and Changli. Her role is also a Main Damage Dealer, and it seems like she will be able to proc skills off the Tune mechanic that Lynae has in her kit. Mornye also synergizes with the Tune gameplay, so if you get lucky, you could pull all three and have a nice team. Main DPS, healer with Mornye, and Lynae as your sub DPS.
If all this is accurate, then it seems like Aemeath would benefit from the newly added Laser Shearer sword. Happily, that is in the Standard Weapon Convene, so more affordable to pull on. It grants you a Resonance Skill damage bonus if you smack an enemy under Tune Strain: Interfered, which fits in perfectly.
Again, all of that is speculation, so don’t take it as absolute fact. What is a fact is that Wuthering Waves is a fantastic game, and you should download it from the App Store and Google Play.
