Odin: Valhalla Rising takes us to the toasty land of Muspelheim in the latest update

We are officially entertaining the cold season, if these ice blocks I am forced to call hands are any indication, so you might be thinking of heading somewhere sunny. Well, travel is expensive, so whilst we might not be able to head to Hawaii, we can take a trip to the fiery inferno of Muspelheim in Odin: Valhalla Rising.

Those who are up on their Norse mythology will know that the realm of Muspelheim is home to the Fire Giants. Chief amongst these is Surtr, the land's guardian and the being who engulfs the world in flames during Ragnarok. And lucky us, we get to go and do battle with this mammoth being.

Yes, Muspelheim happens to be home to a treasure trove of goodies, and as we all know, neither literal hell nor high waters will keep gamers from loot. Speaking of, water would be very helpful here; all the enemies are, of course, packing fire attacks. At the end of the road, you will need to do epic battle with Surtr himself before claiming victory and all those delicious shiny baubles.

World-ending hellfire aside, we are now at the six-month mark since Valhalla's global launch, and as we all know, any milestone is an excuse for celebration. To thank their 20 million players, Kakao is giving away some pretty valuable items, including a Thor Weapon/Armor/Accessory Boonstone, and 11 Divine Mount, Avatar, and Rune Summoning Tickets. 

There are also some new missions to tackle, with even more rewards behind them. The Warrior’s Mission II will reward 11 Divine Mount, Avatar, Rune, and Weapon Skin Summoning Tickets for completing each individual mission. Indeed, Valhalla has introduced a Weapon Skin system.

You can also earn 11 Divine Summoning Tickets for completing all the missions in the event. There are also 11 Avatar and Mount Summoning Selection Tickets up for grabs for completing Roskva’s Growth Support Mission.
