Would the slow shuffles of zombies be different to the usual convention crowds?

With Halloween just around the corner (if you think of a long corner), it is the perfect time to get things a little spooky, and what better way than with Resident Evil? The iconic horror franchise has shuffled its way onto Goddess of Victory: Nikke for the long-awaited collaboration, and visitors to the Tokyo Game Show are in for a separate treat.

Let's start with Nikke and the Reborn Evil collaboration. Our heroes have picked up a mysterious D-WAVE emanating from, what else, a deserted mansion in the Outer Rim. The Commander has also linked this to a recent spate of disappearances in the Ark, so of course, it is time to investigate.

Helping you along in this endeavour is the arrival of Ada Wong, Jill Valentine, and Claire Redfield, three iconic ladies from the Resident Evil universe. The first two are SSR-grade, whilst Claire is only SR. Wait until Chris hears about this!

Ada Wong is a Burst III attacker who can boost her own strength before unleashing hell with her Burst Skill. In the same vein, Jill Valentine is also an attacker who can charge special ammunition with each reload. Hit her Burst Skill, and your rounds will pierce defences and hit with a much heftier blow. Finally, Claire Redfield is a support who heals allies and curse debuffs by combining herbs.

The collaboration is also packing Salvation Breakers, a defence mini-game that has you organizing your resources and defeating swarms of Raptures. Fans of fashion can grab Ada’s Dress and Jill’s Battle Suit through a time-limited pass, and you will also pick up free costumes through their recruitment and appointed tasks. Our last bit of fashion comes in the form of additional outfits, such as D: Killer Wife’s “Secret Agent” in the October Missions Pass.

That is all for Resident Evil collaborations, but what of that tantalising Tokyo Game Show teaser from the intro? Starting tomorrow until the 28th, attendees of the show can try out the Resident Evil Survival Unit demo. You will also earn a branded neck strap for doing so, on a first-come come first-served basis.

If you can’t afford a trip to Tokyo, lord knows we all want one, then you will have to get your Resident Evil fix in Goddess of Victory: Nikke, available on the App Store and Google Play.
