It is Thanksgiving over in the US, but Happy Broccoli Games is treating us to a bird that you won’t want to cook. Duck Detective: Ghost Glamping has been released on mobile, and I think we can all agree that this is definitely something for all of us to be thankful for.

You take on the mantle of Eugene McQuacklin once more, the titular mallard in his spiffy trenchcoat. Still down on his luck, Eugene is taken on a glamping holiday by his roommate, Freddie Frederson from the first game. It is here that you stumble on a mystery, and the fun begins.

Humour is very much still a focal point here, because of course it is, you are playing a duck. Eugene is joined by Freddie, much to his chagrin, with his new partner's unrelenting chipper attitude. Puns are made, amusing characters are met, and you can hammer a button that makes you quack.

During gameplay, you will need to do all the things that a detective does. You will investigate the crime scene, find clues, and then grill everyone like the potential suspect that they are. Happily, this fun little gem is fully voiced-acted, so you can truly appreciate the ridiculous narrative.

In what I am assured by my friend is a positive move, Ghost Glamping should only take about two or three hours to complete. Personally, I prefer a longer game that I can get into before getting bored and moving on, but I hear people actually like to complete games sometimes. A wild concept.

Even better is that you can try the game out for free. You can play 15 minutes of gameplay before having to shell out $6.99. Eugene needs to buy his bread after all. So, you have no reason not to try out Duck Detective: Ghost Glamping now on the App Store or Google Play.
