There is a lot in this update, but removing the Pinnacle Energy system is hands down the winner

Mobile shooter fans will be well catered to this month end. Not only is The Division Resurgence launching on March 31st, something I am personally very excited for, but Destiny Rising has revealed details of its next major update coming on March 26th. Season 4, dubbed Season of Wishes, is sending up into the Red Sea Rift and beyond.

Our heroes will be engaging with new threats at this Red Sea Rift location, and there are two ways you can tackle this. The first is diving into three-story dungeons to unravel the game narrative and have a satisfying arc. Or, you could just go nuts and explore the expanse freely. Always a fun choice.

Either option will have you walk away with an arm full of rewards, from exploration experience and the satisfaction of clearing the Destinations puzzles. There will also be Frontline Events and Public Events, giving you some dynamic encounters to shoot your way through.

A welcome blow to the gacha industry with free Mythic characters

If you feel like you need a bit more firepower, then you will be glad to hear that all new Mythic characters can be unlocked for free. All you need to do is clear an event, starting with Efrideet. You can also deck your team out with three Destiny 2 Mythicals and a new Mythic weapon series. How very Mythical.

For those truly confident with their skills, the second original Gauntlet Onslaught raid, Great Hunt, arrives early April. Add this to the new greatest difficulty tier for Operation Cordon and The Expanse, and you have plenty of content to prove your worth. There will also be two new three-player Strike missions, in case you feel like just kicking it with friends.

The best piece of news in this update, however, is the removal of the Pinnacle Energy system. Any stamina system that restricts gameplay is horrendous, so this is a huge win. And one that will help you hit the new level cap of 90. There is a lot more coming too, so download Destiny: Rising from the App Store or Google Play to give it a try.
