Crystal of Atlan is raising the level cap for its newest major update

Are you sick of gravity? Do you yearn to float above the land and throw sand at people below you? What a very specific fantasy you have. But luckily! It is one you can finally indulge in, as Crystal of Atlan releases its next major update, Sandstorm Journey.

The game's next main quest, Floating Settlement, has you hunting down Navigator Yudora after their disappearance. You do this for that most noble of goals: the treasure known as the Kraken Key. Your journey takes you to a floating land of deserts, and I may need to create a Musketeer so I can become a cowgirl.

In some excellent news for your characters, the level cap has raised to 70. After reaching level 60 you can complete Level Breakthrough quests to help you reach new heights. To assist, anyone who logs in before March 12 will receive Advancer's Resources (Lv.60) and a Lv.60 Epic Gear Box, for that nice extra boost.

After hitting this new cap, you can take on the level 70 Epic Co-op Dungeon, Duskfeather Lair. Completing this will get you loot, including Level 65 Epic gear. Thanks to the Gear Inscription systems, Level 65+ Epic gear will possess 1 to 3 Inscription slots for added power. The first 24 Adventurers to clear Legend difficulty on each realm will also clear the Twilight Feathers title. Which immediately made me think of chickens.

Speaking of chickens, you can pick up a new limited Dragon-esque pet through the pet summoning event, known as the Ancestral Whelp. This adorable critter will heal you when you reach low health, boost your damage, and just be an all-around cute little friend. 

Of course, you can’t summon it wearing your old garbs, don’t be absurd. By finding Azure Crystals and smelting Outfits, you will have the opportunity to obtain the angelic new Welkin Oath Outfit set. It does not suit the desert setting whatsoever, but I suppose it looks cool.

What else is cool? Helping others. The Memorship System allows players to recruit an apprentice to share knowledge and even gain some Attribute bonuses and Enhancement Funds.
