Dive into some early Magicpunk fun as Crystal of Atlan opens for latest beta test

Excellent news for fans of steampunk and magic; the Precursor Test for Magicpunk MMORPG Crystal of Atlan opens today. This rather fancy way of saying beta test will remain open until March 5th and is available for PC - boo - and Android devices - yay, - complete with cross-play.

There are a few conditions to join, because isn’t there always? For starters, you need to be in Canada, Germany, Brazil, or the United Kingdom. You also can only take part on Android mobile devices. If you meet these two conditions then you are good to go and can start raising hell as a Swordsman, Musketeer, Puppeteer, or Magister. If you are like me and think everything went downhill after Isaac Newton invented gravity, my working theory is this is why you can’t join on Apple products, then good news! Atlan, somewhat strangely, prides itself on the mid-air combos you can pull off, so you can both look very style and break those pesky surly bonds of earth quite frequently. 

When the test shuts its doors on March 5th, the test server will unfortunately be ruthlessly exploded, and all data and progress will be destroyed. This of course includes any real-world money you have spent, so bear that in mind in case you are thinking of opening that fetching purse.

On that subject though, we are in no way, shape, or form encouraging any form of reckless spending before we get into this. The developers have said that anything spent during this test will be refunded at a rate between 100% and 150% when the official launch rolls away. I am not sure what threshold triggers that 150%, but it is pretty generous it must be said.
