Besiege is set to turn your mobile into a portable machine of utter devastation
Who wants in-depth mechanics when we have flying tanks?
I think we can all agree that an epic narrative in gaming is fun. A tough-as-nails boss fight is utterly thrilling. In-depth combat mechanics are a delight to dive into. Sometimes, though, you just want to straight up wreck things. Thankfully, Playdigious has us covered, with Besiege coming to mobile.
In Besiege, you can take on the role of what I can only describe as an incredibly vengeful builder. In this physics building game, you will make your own war machines of destruction, engineered purely to cause as much havoc as you possibly can. You can start with a humble trebuchet, graduate to tanks, before say to hell with it and create a flying machine of Armageddon. Rename yourself Ragnarök, for not even Gods can stand before you.
Unless you forget to fortify your defences, because the citizens of these lands won’t go quietly. Luckily, you have access to resources such as spiny blades and flamethrowers to keep your foe at bay. There are 55 destructible levels, each with its own objectives and challenges to complete.
Most of them will be “break things."

But what if you create the ultimate behemoth? It would be a shame to keep this secret to yourself. Luckily, you can upload your creations to the workshop so the whole world can see the depths of your depravity. In turn, you can of course also download other people's schematics should you be struggling on a specific level.
It is these types of games that I think are perfect for mobile. Whenever you have five minutes, simply pull out your phone, design a new war machine, and see what it does. Best of all, it comes with a free trial, just in case you are somehow unconvinced by the carnage.
After that, you will need to throw down $7.99, with a 10% discount until November 23rd.
Besiege is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
