Yvonne banner in Arknights: Endfield marks the final phase of version 1.0

Gacha games always take a few weeks before the version ends, and they move on to the next version. For HoYoverse games like Genshin, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, or Kuro Games' Wuthering Waves, the update usually occurs after six weeks. This is a good number as each banner phase will last for three weeks, and if there are three banner phases, each lasts for two.

Arknights: Endfield takes things a little differently, with seven weeks duration for its version 1.0. Each banner lasts for around 16 days, condensing three phases into one patch.

Endfield banners start with a powerful DPS, Laevatain. A typical move for a gacha game that thrives on your FOMO and the thrill of getting strong characters. Then, the game persuades you to get the "better" support, Gilberta, one that could perform better than the free Ardelia in AoE scenarios.

Now, it's time to regret your decision in getting Laevatain, as Yvonne is here to show you that she, too, can do what Laevatain does.

Yvonne is a Cryo DPS character, just like Last Rite

While Laevatain is a Pyro DPS, Yvonne is a Cryo operator. We already have a great DPS of this element, which is Last Rite, but this means that the developer has to make Yvonne stronger than Last Rite to "sell" her.

Unlike Last Rite and Laevatain, who play around elemental infliction stats, Yvonne uses Crit, a stat that's surprisingly uncommon.

Personally, my favorite part is the fact that she uses handcannons (guns, basically), which means you can hit enemies from a distance.

Now, I don't have any issue with melee characters, not typically, at least, but in the Umbral Monument, some stages simply punish you for being a short-ranged unit. Either the enemy moves way too much, or you get staggered constantly.

For example, in the Umbral Monument's Rampaging Shields stage, I wasn't able to properly use Laevatain to attack, as I needed to keep dodging. If you're also struggling with this level, here's a little tip: try using Snowshine and parry the hits with her skill.

Yvonne's banner will last until March 12, 2026. Don't forget to get her if you want a powerful Cryo DPS who's not Last Rite.
