The Savannah and Jungle were just the beginning in Rodeo Stampede. Get ready to head for the Mountains. I think I heard that in a beer ad once.

The game's latest update introduces a whole new environment in which to test your riding and lassoing skills, and it's one that doesn't sound like it will be easy to master. The Mountains await on the other side of the Jungle, ready to keep you going in your quest to build the best sky zoo ever (and if you've played the game, you know that makes sense).

To unlock the Mountains, you'll have to complete all five Jungle zones and upgrade your Jungle animal habitats a total of 40 times. Saving up coins will also be crucial, though by the time you're ready to see the new zone, your zoo should be pulling in a tidy profit every time you open it.

Featherweight and Yodo1 have announced that 42 new animals have arrived in the update, meaning that there are seven new general animal types. We haven't discovered all of them yet, but the Mountains definitely contain the following:

  • Moose
  • Yak
  • Llama
  • Eagle

One issue you'll have on any rodeo in the Mountains is potentially falling to your doom. The paths can be narrow and the cliffs steep, and an angry animal of the wrong kind can plunge you right off the side.

Also new in Rodeo Stampede version 1.1.0 is new music for the Jungle -- featuring an appropriately mood-setting beat -- and an expansion to the sky zoo to make room for more animals. Because the zoo inspectors hate to have to reserve helicopter time to ensure you aren't cramming them in under subpar conditions.

If you aren't quite ready to scale the Mountains yet, please be sure to check out our guides to mastering the Savannah and the Jungle. Then it's time to conquer your fear of heights and get riding, because those mountain animals aren't going to lasso themselves.
