To kick off Clash Royale's twelfth season, we thought it would be fun to start a new feature for the game where we rank cards. And what better cards to start with than the oh-so-rare Legendaries that can really transform the kinds of decks you can make in the game.

For the record, these cards are being ranked based on their overall utility in a variety of different deck types. Don't assume you can make a deck using all the top picks here and do well. You still need to make a balanced deck to see victory, just know that the higher tier cards here can help you do that more easily.

Now, for the rankings:

Log and Miner take the top ranks here because they're simply the two most versatile cards that are good to have in almost any deck or situation. Both have amazing defensive potential, especially for their low Elixr cost.

Just below these cards are two great crowd control cards (Electro Wizard and Magic Archer), and Bandit, which a great counter-push unit who can deal massive damage with her dash attacks.

Everything in the B and C tiers might have some wiggle room to switch places depending on your playstyle, but many of these cards are just a bit too situational. Ice Wizard doesn't do enough damage, Inferno Dragon struggles against swarms, Night Witch is too fragile, Lumberjack is too easy to read, Megaknight is too expensive, and Graveyard is only good for Graveyard-centric decks. Obviously, there are good uses for these cards, but you have to support them more than higher tier cards on this list.

Finally, the bottom of the barrel are Legendaries that seem good (and sometimes are), but are usually easy to counter or not worth the deck slot. Sparky feels like an auto-win card in lower ranks, but is no match for players with good air counters or interrupts in their decks. Princess is such an easy target for spells given how fragile she is, and Ram Rider has too many counters that are staples in most decks. As for Fisherman and Royal Ghost, well, let's just say they are in need of a tune up.
