Wuthering Waves teases a mysterious shrine maiden for version 3.3

Wuthering Waves's current arc revolves around the Startorch Academy, so the teaser of Hiyuki feels a little off-theme. But, she was actually introduced a while before the drip marketing.

Hiyuki first appears in Wuthering Waves 3.2 release trailer, where a mysterious miko, a shrine maiden, appears out of nowhere in the trailer. Later on, her presence was further explored in the special program.

One of the hosts in the livestream mentioned a figure in a white robe and red skirt, whose outfit and vibe are truly distinct from other figures in the Startorch Academy. Another host quickly confirmed that she's actually a part of the Startorch Academy.

Little is known about Hiyuki, but the fanbase has high hopes for her

The miko's official art is arguably one of the most gorgeous reveals Wuthering Waves have had so far. The icy vibe paired with the striking red of her attire creates a notable contrast. Not to mention all the figures behind Hiyuki's present self, which many assume were her past identities.

A beautiful design, mysterious vibe, and cool katana already make an easy appeal to many fans of anime-styled games (throwback to Raiden Shogun, Acheron, and Miyabi), but her element incites even more hype from the players.

Hiyuki is set to be a Glacio character, hopefully bringing the dead element back to life. Glacio has had an amazing run in Wuthering Waves, as characters with this attribute always perform well when they're released. Zhezhi was the top support for a long time as a buffer for Jinhsi, and Carlotta was also a top-tier DPS.

However, ever since Carlotta debuted in version 2.0, Wuthering Waves hasn't released any other Glacio character. So Hiyuki is the much-needed change from Wuthering Waves' current Aero and Spectro fest.

Hiyuki will come to Wuthering Waves in version 3.3. WuWa 3.3 should come around April 29, 2026, meaning there's still at least one more month before you can get Hiyuki.
