Just like every Thursday, today we're taking some time to let you know what we think are the best games that have come out over the past week. We've had hands-on time with all of them, so you can trust us when we tell you that we're pretty clued up on this.
That said, you might disagree. That's cool, you can do that. But if you do, we'd love to hear why in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Maybe you've spotted something that you love, and you want to share it with the world? That's just one of the many services that the comments section can provide.
Every Thursday here at 148Apps we like to make sure you're caught up with all the amazing mobile games that have come out over the past seven days. And today is no different - what you're reading right now is our break down of what we think are the top 5 games for iPhone and iPad that came out this week.
It's an interesting mix too, with an intriguing endless runner or two, a puzzler that's put its gloves back on, and an adaptation of a classic board game that's sure to get more than one or two fingers twitching with joy. If you think we've missed anything, then feel free to chuck your own suggestions in the comments section at the bottom of the article.
How is it already Thursday again? My oh my, doesn't time fly when you're playing the very best mobile games out there? We certainly hope it does, because we've gone ahead and written a list of what we think are the top 5 best games for iPhone and iPad that have landed on the App Store over the last seven days.
This week we've got two very different platformers, a .io game that shouldn't be anywhere near as much fun as it is, as well as a couple of games that like to play by their own rules. They're all really good though, and if it was up to us you'd read this article and then go and play all of them and have a lovely old time.
It's that time again - Thursday has rolled around which means the latest batch of new mobile games has landed on the App Store. There's loads of them, like there always is, so we've taken steps to make sure you know which are the best games that have come out for iPhone and iPad over the last seven days. Those steps are basically writing, and then posting, this list.
We've picked what we think are the finest new gaming experiences for your shiny phone or tablet, and we've given you download links so you can grab them in the shortest amount of time possible. We've even written down why we think you're going to enjoy the games. What a wonderful service we're providing for you.
At first glance this one might look like a Clash Royale clone, but if you stick with it you're going to discover one of the finest PvP RTS experiences that the App Store has to offer. Collect twisted versions of fairytale heroes (the emperor from The Emperor's New Clothes is our personal favorite), and then battle with other teams to be the first to smash your opponent's bases.
A melancholic, slow game about a goat farm on the edge of a desert. You play an old woman who has to tend to the farm - milking the goats, collecting eggs, planting and tending to seeds, and dragging water out of the well at the edge of your property. All the while you're building up your routine, the world outside of the farm is starting to fall apart. This is a game that's definitely going to make you think.
Any game that channels Nitrome and Star Wars is fine by us. This is a short and sharp action platformer that sees you bouncing around a screen trying to push a button. That button stops the spikes at the top and bottom of the screen from closing in on you. The first few buttons are easy to push, but after that you're facing circular saws, more spikes, and a whole host of enemies too.
There might be a lot of card games out there in mobile gaming land, but we're always happy to see new ones coming along if they do something different. Elemancer feels like it's trying to fit in the space between Hearthstone and the more casual end of the market, and if it can build up a big enough player base, we're pretty excited to see what the game can do.
This is out leftfield choice of the week. It's a text-based adventure game set in 1920s England. Except it's a 1920s England where a strange black fog has descended and ominous and evil creatures are stalking the land. It's up to you to figure out what's going on. And, perhaps more importantly, stay alive. Thanks to all the choices you have to make here, no two playthroughs are ever going to be the same.
It's that time of the week again - we're going to check out what we think are the top five games that have come out on the App Store over the last seven days. There are some big names on the list, some small names on the list, and some middle-sized names on the list. We're covering a lot of bases here, just saying.
Obviously if you've got your own suggestions we'd love to hear them. If it was up to us we'd make this list about 20 times longer, but we simply don't have the time, so adding your own ideas is going to fill us with a lovely kind of share-y joy.
Every week here at 148Apps we like to make sure that you're up to date with all the awesome games that have come out for iPhone and iPad over the past 7 days. We pick the cream of the crop to ensure that you don't have to play anything boring and broken. That's our job - you can let us sort out the wheat from the chaff while you have a nice cup of coffee and put your feet up.
This week we've got free to play games, we've got premium games, and we've got games where you can fall off a mountain. And if that wasn't enough there's a game where you can steal the Mona Lisa, and another one where you can shoot aliens into gory little puddles. What a week we're having.

It's not been the best seven days in the world of mobile gaming, but there are definitely some interesting new additions. In fact, it might be one of those weeks where there's something for everyone. If you've spotted something we've missed, or want to tell us that one of the games we've included shouldn't be there, make sure you do that in the comments at the bottom of the article.
The App Store is almost intimidatingly full of content and each week even more new games are released. Apple does attempt to curate this list into the Best New Games section, but it’s not really enough.
This week, we’ve narrowed down those games to a mere six that are the most interesting.
