Runescape has you harness your inner-Garrett with new gameplay for Thieving
If the Garrett reference fell flat, you need to go play Thief now.
I am sure most of you are like me; you wouldn’t dare to steal a thing in real life out of fear that you would be instantly caught. But in games, sheesh, I am loading my pockets with everything. Not even plates in Skyrim are safe. Jagex is tapping the loot goblin in all of us, with an increased cap to the Thieving Skill, as well as a new way to make your ill-gained fortune.
Let’s build up the suspense a little longer and start with the level cap. You can now get your Thieving skill up to 120, because it is clearly one of the most important skills in the game. How do I level up and reach these new heights of larceny, I hear you ask? Why, by breaking into the most secure places in Gielinor and pulling off Heists, of course.
These Heists will test your pickpocketing, safecracking, and general master thief skills, and sound absolutely awesome, frankly. It is not just a series of skill checks either, as there will be guards and traps to avoid. As someone who loves the thief playthrough in RPGs, I am tempted to resubscribe for this.

Should you manage to successfully extract, you will be rewarded with XP, some loot, and a fun new way to make money. These rewards are on par with the big game you can hunt, or skilling bosses, so we aren’t just talking about a shiny candlestick. You might even be able to find a weapon or two.
Your first foray will be at Kharid-et. The Vault of Hereditas is protected by spectres and is perfect for level 95 - 105 thieves, provided you have the patience to avoid patrols. Next, you can move on to The Asuran Arsenal for some level 108 - 118 fun.
This is where Kerpac retrieved his siege cannons from, so you will need to have precise timing to avoid the traps. Turns out he didn’t take all of them, after all.
Runescape is available from the App Store and Google Play.
