Pixel Starship hosts a crossover with an unwhelming entry from an iconic franchise
To be fair to SAC_2045, it is hard to stack up against the original Ghost in the Shell
One of my personal favourite mobile games is Pixel Starships; it is just amazing. The cute art style, the turn-based combat, and the ship-to-ship warfare? Magnificent. Now it is set to get better, as anime royalty joins the adventure. Or rather, royalty adjacent, may be a little more appropriate.
See, Ghost in the Shell is a property everyone will have heard of. It is an icon. Less well known is Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, a two-series show that didn’t set the world alight in 2020. It's not that it was bad; it just didn’t stack up to the rest of its family. It is SAC_2045 joining Pixel Starships, and hopefully, it will be a bit more well-received here.
The begin with, you can add 6 members of Public Security Section 9 to serve you across the universe. These are Major Motoko Kusanagi, Batou, Togusa, Daisuke Aramaki, Purin Esaki, and Tachikoma. Each is sporting their own abilities to help you keep venturing beyond the stars.

Of course, you can’t explore deep space while your ship is looking like a wreck. Sure, nobody is around to see it, but you still have to look cool. This crossover brings an exclusive Android Room Skin to jazz up the place, and you can collect Tachikoma and Major Kusanagi-inspired stickers.
Speaking of collecting, there are new Collection Abilities that will help you turbocharge your ship's power. If you are looking for a more visceral sense of power, however, then you can unlock the new special equipment this crossover brings. You have until March 25th before this collaboration ends, so get stuck in now to make sure you don't miss anything.
Pixel Starships is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. There is also a sequel you could try, but the original is better.
