The kitchen can be a stressful place if you are trying to cook, and nowhere is that more evident than in the video game series Overcooked. You know, besides actual professional kitchens, but we deal in fantasy here.

Netflix is turning up the heat on this concept with new release Overcooked! All You Can Eat.

Overcooked ingredients: Netflix and a phone

What's bound to make this more chaotic is the way it's played. What you need is Netflix and a phone or tablet to turn into your controller. If you thought trying to juggle a dozen silly orders in a move kitchen was bad, try doing it with touchscreen controls. I anticipate people falling off ledges that don't even exist.

It is quite the dramatic story behind this silly game. You and your big-hatted friends are allied with the Onion Knigdom, defending them from the Ever Peckish. That is, until the Onion King kicks you back to 1993. Here, you do the only thing you can: hone your skills across pirate ships, city streets, and a haunted house before returning and vanquishing your hungry foe.

You think you’d or earnt a rest, but nope. The second campaign kicks off when the Onion Kings find an ancient cookbook, the delightfully named Necro-nomnom-icon, and read it. It's almost like you just can’t trust royalty these days. His faux pas summons the Unbread, sending you on a journey through sushi kitchens, mines, and alien planets. At least the puns are on point.

There are around 200 levels collected from the series two main games, but you don’t have to do it alone. There are 10 celebrity chefs to play as, but Gordon Ramsey they are not. You can pick from the likes of Mira, Rumi, and Zoey from KPop Demon Hunters, or take a trip to the Upside Down with Stranger Things characters Dustin, Eleven, and a Demogorgon. That last one can’t be hygienic enough for a kitchen.

To play Overcooked! All You Can Eat, you will need a Netflix subscription, because our entertainment overlords do nothing for free. You can download Netflix from the App Store and Google Play.
