World of Tanks Blitz celebrates its first anniversary with special in-game events

Today marks the first anniversary of the launch of World of Tanks Blitz, the mobile version of the PC tank battler, World of Tanks.

World of Tanks Blitz launched on iOS and Android on June 26th last year and to celebrate, Wargaming is giving all players a special tank as a gift.

There'll also be daily challenges that players can compete in for prizes as well as a livestream on Twitch complete with giveaways to those who turn up.

World of Tanks Blitz is a free-to-play tank battler in which players take control of swift light tanks, jack-of-all-trades medium tanks, or almighty heavy tanks and head out into battle against opposing players.

The controls have been completely redesigned for touch and the whole game can be played with just two thumbs. That doesn't mean the core game has been simplified though - all the depth of the PC original remains.

You can also play using the same account on both iOS and Android with all of your in-game progress and achievements intact as well as play against players on all platforms with cross-platform support.
