Level Infinite has announced the first major patch for its recently released open-world MMORPG, Tower of Fantasy. Entitled Vera and releasing on October 20th, it brings a huge new area along with a lot of content.

Tower of Fantasy is a fantasy adventure set hundreds of years in the future, in a time of upheaval for humanity. Dwindling resources on Earth have forced a mass migration for humans, who settle on the far-off world of Aida. Once there, the travellers discover a comet named Mara, containing powerful energy called Omnium. Despite knowing nothing about this energy, humans build the Omnium Tower to capture Mara, and whilst they succeed, the Omnium radiation causes a catastrophic disaster across the planet.

Vera introduces the Desert Gobby, a huge irradiated wilderness that spreads far and wide, with the glorious cyberpunk city of Mirroria sitting at the centre. Whilst Mirroria first appears to be a welcome respite from the harsh desert, under the surface it is anything but, rife with danger and conflict.

Both of these contrasting environments contain a huge set of new missions, events, raids, instances, monsters and legendary bosses for players to tangle with, as well as new vehicles and weapons to master. Whilst all of the new areas offer a lot to contend with, there is one part of the desert that offers the most peril.

When first placing a foot in the Grayspace, the foreboding nature of the area immediately makes itself clear. The environment darkens, and the Grayspace Entities start to swarm. These dangerous new enemies came in many forms, with the most lethal known as the Abyssants. Although terrible and foul beings, those who manage to fell these formidable foes will be rewarded with bountiful riches.

Tower of Fantasy is available to download on the App Store and Google Play now. To celebrate the release of Vera, Level Infinite will be hosting a special stream event on October 13th at 1 PM PT for a deep dive into the update. The stream will be available on the official Youtube, Twitch and Twitter sites.
