The Lost Light exclusion zone manages to get even darker with the Halloween season
As if braving an exclusion zone fraught with danger and enemies at every turn wasn’t enough to put a lump in the throat, Lost Light has now been infected by the spooky spirit of the holiday. A plethora of Halloween-themed gear is available to obtain, and NetEase is giving away 200 dollars of items for free to all players to celebrate the season.
It is not just humanity that has a fondness for pumpkins and trick or treats, as the AI robots of Lost Light have been getting dressed up in Halloween costumes. Special robots adorned with pumpkin heads will appear across the map, and defeating them will net some Halloween goodies, and a chance to get the key item HeLa Antibody, a powerful defense against the pheromone outbreak. The season's spirit hasn’t just extended to the robots, with the world of Lost Light also getting a Halloween makeover. The shelter has spawned jack-o-lanterns and candles for some spooky light, and the exclusion zone itself has gone very dark. Crows circle above the fog, and the dark forest truly lives up to its name. Numerous pumpkins have also started to pop up around the zone, and collecting them will earn points that can be exchanged for Halloween prizes.

As a further treat to those who might not have the spare time to invest in pumpkin hunting, Lost Light will host the Halloween Daily Missions from October 27th to November 10th. By completing these missions players can net rewards worth over 250 dollars, including a Halloween Avatar frame, backpack and spooky emotes. Also, logging in for 8 consecutive days during the event will net a free weapon skin to complete the holiday look.
Lost Light is available to download now for free on the App Store and Google Play.
