The excellent Small Cargo is last week's game of the week award winner

It was certainly a close run thing this week, but after giving the numbers a while to settle, we can now reveal that the winner of last week's game of the week award is the really rather lovely Small Cargo from Appsolute Games.

It might look like another simple arcade action game, but there's actually a lot more going on here, which is why we think you chose it as your representative of the mobile gaming arts for last week. So let's look at the game in a little more depth.

While it does only have two buttons, one to move your cargo left and one to move your cargo right, there's a lot more you need to think about. For one thing there's the massive obstacles that are blocking your path.

And for another there's the fact that if you swing your crate out of the left side of the screen, it'll come back on the right, and vice versa. Coupled with some excellent design work, these ideas mesh together to create something that's both challenging and compelling.

Plus it looks lovely, there's a load to see, do, and collect, and there's a swagger to the game that makes even the frustrating minutes you spend with it feel like a good time.
