The Clan of the Rat arrives in Northgard Mobile and will outlast us all
If you are the type of strategy player who likes to sit back and outlast your opponent, the latest clan to hit Northgard Mobile will be of interest to you. The Clan of the Rat, the Dodsvagr, specialise in survival, being able to forgo the gravest of injury and keep going.
Their warchief, Eir, can be recruited from the new Shaman Hut and has the ability to heal nearby allies, however, she costs 10 wounded units so you will need a bit of combat first. Your other Shamans can also heal units, even those outside your territory. Luckily, or unlucky, your villagers arrive to you wounded, so Eir can be brought quicker than expected. If you need a bit of firepower on the chance you get offensive, then build the Flame of Muspelheim. After this, you can get the Clans relic, Garm’s Incarnation, to summon the Norse beast. As long as the flame is alight, Garm will relentlessly hunt for foes, proving to be a boon to your team.

On top of this new clan, all players will also get two free updates. The Krowns and Daggers update focuses on your relationships with your opposing tribes. A new diplomacy screen will give you the chance to explore new interactions and receive rewards, including with the new Dwarf faction, a neutral clan famed for its mining skills. On the other hand, if someone has ruffled your feather, declare them your enemy in the new rivalry system and gain bonuses and advantages over them.
Sword and Solace on the other hand however is a little more background focused, but no less important. There is a new Ui navigation, with more contextual information, animation backgrounds for each clan, research filters, and more for a pretty-looking adventure. The military paths have been revised allowing you to pick your path earlier and forge weapons cheaper. Finally, a new multiplayer ranking system has been introduced to argue over.
Northgard Mobile can be downloaded now from the App Store and Google Play, with this new Clan costing $2.99.
