Just because the world has ended and the apocalypse is upon you, does not mean there is no room for fun, as NetEase has shown with its latest update to their survival game LifeAfter. Escape Park brings a little tinge of Zombieland to the bleakness, and it is much welcomed.

As you stumble through the wastelands one day, you happen across a mysterious amusement park, seemingly frozen through time. It's colourful decorations and the gleeful atmosphere is a stark contrast to the despair around it, but why not make the most of it and turn your hand to some design work?

This new update brings with it a new game mode, the titular Escape Park. With this, every survivor in the wasteland can create their own theme park and slice of fun in the sadness, combining different obstacles and challenges. You can even work in some survival and parkour training to keep you on your toes.

What's even better is that you can visit other players' parks, so you can be a professional apocalypse park tester in your spare time. Don’t spend too much time there though, as a new threat has reared its head. Corrupted fungi have infected camps, threatening the future of mankind once again, so gear up, delve deep into the game and uncover the source of the corruption.

When discussing the new update, NetEase Games Overseas Publishing head, Matt Liu, said “At NetEase Games, we are constantly striving to bring new and innovative gameplay experiences to players around the world. With the launch of 'Escape Park' and the Corruption Crisis update, we're excited to offer players even more opportunities to explore the doomsday world of LifeAfter and create their own unique survival stories."
