Creepy Little Monsters is a retro throwback that sees you traversing tricky puzzle-platformer levels as a one-eyed monster. It aims to offer a fresh take on 80s and 90s classics of the genre, and it's out right now for iOS and Android.

You play as Gimbo765, a monster banished from his cult for "being a naughty boy". This Mike Wazowski lookalike is now hoping to work his way to freedom by escaping a seemingly endless lair. In the way are all manner of enemies and challenges, so he's got his work cut out for him.

At launch, there are currently 20 levels to work your way through, with the environments you'll explore ranging from caves to dungeons to castles.

Creepy Little Monsters' controls aim to evoke classics of the genre, boasting simple, tight platforming mechanics and many recognisable ideas.

If you're looking for a greater challenge, you could attempt to speedrun your way out the lair and earn yourself a decent place on the game's leaderboard.

It's also a premium title, meaning you won't be pestered by any ads or IAPs. If you quite fancy checking this one out, you'll find it available for purchase now from both the App Store and Google Play.
