There's big news in the Apple Arcade realm this week. Konami has announced that Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls will soon arrive on the subscription service and promises to deliver the classic 2D action fans of the series would desire.

Players will find themselves battling their way through 60 different stages alongside facing daily and weekly challenges. But they won't be limited to one character through their adventure. In Grimoire of Souls, there are five playable heroes from across the series history, each with their own special abilities. Players can choose between Alucard, Simon Belmont, Maria Renard, Charlotte Aulin and Shanoa.

As such, certain characters might be better suited for tackling certain levels. Though, it will be up to the player to decide if they want to swap between them or master the finer details of a specific character.

To ensure that Grimoire of Souls feels like an authentic Castlevania experience, the development team includes multiple people who were involved in making the previous games. Ayama Kojima, who worked on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, has designed the new characters whilst Michiru Yamane, who created the soundtrack for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, has penned the game's main theme.

The game will feature 16 different languages to choose between when it launches. They will include English, French, Canadian French, Italian, German, Spanish (Latin and es), Russian, Turkish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Korean and Japanese.

Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is set to release on Apple Arcade soon. Apple Arcade is a subscription service that costs $4.99 per month, though you can snag a free trial if you've never tried it before.
