Award-winning developers announce upcoming 3D battler Bleach: Soul Resonance
Nuverse, developers of the award-winning card game Marvel Snap, has announced their upcoming 3D action game, Bleach: Soul Resonance. Officially licensed by the legendary series, players will find themselves in an original storyline facing off against new threats with some old friends.
Despite this new story, the team are taking inspiration from the original scenes and their fights to create their own innovative core mechanics for combat. Character synergies will be key, suggesting at least some form of the team in battle, hopefully like the old tag mechanics in Tekken, since the trailer shows an interesting-looking tete-a-tete. Having played a lot of the Bleach games personally, watching the trailer gives me a lot of hope for the direction of Soul Resonance. As fun as ripping through mooks on the battlefield like Soul Resurrección on the PS3 let you, this one-on-one style with everyone's special moves and fighting styles will hopefully result in some intense, spectacular fights, and hopefully, the bulk of gameplay will be these duels.

Nuverse has noted that their art style is centred around the updated style of the Thousand-Year Blood War series, bringing in the more mature, slightly darker style as opposed to the original series more cartoony vibe. It is the obvious choice for this generation, but maybe one that will put off the older fans, although the technology sounds impressive.
Soul Resonance will use cel shading rendered graphics, highlighted details and the texture of light and shadow. The team used particles and models to ensure realistic, streamlined views and to give players the best-looking Bankais that there is. It may not be nostalgic, but seeing Hyōrinmaru in this much detail will be stunning.
Right now, there are no storefronts on mobile devices, however, if you like the sound of Bleach: Soul Resonance then head to the website for further resources and links to social media.
