Avatar Legends: Realms Collide starts the year be cramming cuteness down our throats
It is no longer a management game, it is a sky bison raising simulator
It is a very exciting time in Avatar Legends: Realms Collide, the 4X strategy game based on the hit Avatar: The Last Airbender series. We have the return of the Glacier Spirits Festival in full swing, which is nice. However, more importantly, we have the Companions system, and I am incredibly delighted.
The Companions system will introduce a slew of the iconic series’ adorable animals to Realms Collide to add a new layer to the game. A fluffy, adorable layer that I can’t wait to dive into. And we all know who the most valuable animal companion is. Appa! Yip yip. Maybe not Appa themself, but we can get very close.
Even better, they will also unlock abilities and add to your combat power. You can head over to the Haven of Companions to spend time with your best sky bison, and other animals whom I care marginally less about. Even if they don’t work well with Zuko, yes I am basic, I will be pairing him with a sky bison forever.
I shall name it Zukka.

Now let's move on to the Glacier Spirits Festival, which will last until January 11th. Christmas has passed, but it is still icy and cold as sin, so we can frolic in this frozen land of auroras, ancient spirit energy, and limited-time fun. The developers say that the event has been tailored to cater to both new and longtime players, so it could be a good entry point.
There will be a narrative running throughout, as well as daily challenges and rotating sub-events to follow. Complete these and you will nab yourself a host of goodies. These include boosts, materials, cosmetics, and most importantly, skins inspired by baby Korra and baby Naga. Naga is the only being in Avatar that can compete with Appa for adorableness.
It's a good time to be a player.
Avatar Legends: Realms Collide is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
