Cook This, Not That! 350 Calorie Meals tackles precisely that issue. In the past, Eat This, Not That! Restaurants has dealt with the issue of what to eat when dining out but this app builds upon Cook This, Not That! offering ways to cook tasty treats weighing in at less than 350 calories.
It’s a neatly laid out app. Various recipes are offered divided up into various categories such as breakfast, pizza/pasta or 10 minute meals. Users can then either browse according to the healthy option or the unhealthy option. This means that if someone’s favorite breakfast is Marie Callender’s Spanish Omelette, they can look it up then tap Cook This and the healthier recipe comes up stating how many calories are saved as well as how much money. A description of the recipe is provided along with an ingredient list and step by step recipe instructions. It’s simple, it’s fast and it’s extremely effective.
Looking at the recipe ideas is tantalisingly mouth watering. Even better comes the satisfaction of knowing it’s possible to eat tasty meals but in a healthier way. Some scrimping has been achieved to keep to the low calorie side of the app, with portion sizes sometimes different but it still works out as a reasonable amount to eat.
Besides an ever useful shopping list function, that’s all there is to it with Cook This, Not That! 350 Calorie Meals but it’s a keenly focused concept. It’s the potential to eat healthily while still enjoying food that makes this app well worth a look.
