Winter comes to Darkwood as Seekers Notes: Hidden Mystery receives Christmas update

MyTona, based in the chilly Siberian city of Yakutsk, has brought a little festive fun to its hidden object game Seekers Notes: Hidden Mystery. The Christmas update introduces some new inhabitants to players, and with them a chance to win plenty of bonus items.

Gameplay for Seekers Notes follows the tried and tested formula of hidden object games – you investigate locations for clues in order to solve mysteries. This time, the location is Darkwood, a charming city beset by a strange curse. You navigate around 28 detailed areas, talking to the locals and spotting objects to solve puzzles, all with a view to lifting the spell. You’re against the clock, so you have to work fast to spot everything you need in each location.

There are an impressive 1200 quests to tackle, and 222 collections to find. If you end up befuddled by a particular puzzle, ask a friend via social media to help. Fellow ‘seekers’ can leave help including items in your game to give you a hand, and by doing so boost your research reward once you solve the puzzle.

The Christmas update has given a seasonal makeover to Darkwood, with festive decorations now adorning the quaint corners and charming buildings of the city. But there are also some new characters that have migrated here for the winter, including Sir Tubby the evil snowman and the Ice Queen. You can banish these unpleasant characters and by doing so win items including fixers (used to combine your collections), candy, toys and other seasonal bonuses. The characters will be gone as soon as the event is over and the snow has all gone, so be quick!
