Vivid Games has Announced Real Boxing 2 and it Looks Suitably Boxing-y

The original Real Boxing was a pretty impressive bit of fisticuffs, but if the trailer Vivid Games is showing off for GamesCom is any indication Real Boxing 2 is going to be even better.

Gameplay details are still pretty vague at this point but you can be certain Real Boxing 2 will involve people wearing padded mittens punching each other in the face and midsection. There were a few important pieces of info to be found in today's press release though, such as character customization options and a career mode that lets you take your fighter from an unknown to a boxing legend. It also looks really dang impressive.

Real Boxing 2 won't be out until "later this year" (it'll be a free download), but if you just can't wait to check it out you can head over to the official site and join the VIP Club for a chance to play the beta. Plus you can get exclusive in-game gear and starter items - once it's released, of course.
