TechCrunch reports that United Airlines seems to be putting finishing touches on its in-flight entertainment extension for iOS-using fliers.

The project allows people to use iOS devices to watch a selection of on-demand movies and shows via the United Airlines app; thus, it would allow for a high degree of personalization with regards to engagement while traveling. According to United Hub, the system will be in place on select Airbus and Boeing craft to start and should be expanded to other aircraft in the future.

While the program was initially announced in February, TechCrunch notes that subsequent mentions were found in recent frequent flier statements.

The system is due in April, and the companion app is already available on the App Store.
