The Elder Scrolls: Blades iOS artwork - Cutting edge combat

It's the weekend, which means it's time for us to look at all of the awesome games you're going to be playing next week. We've got some definitelys, we've got one massive maybe, and we've got everything in between. Which, now I think about it, is quite a lot.

It's been a pretty good week for iOS gaming this week, and you can check out the games that are up for our game of the week award by clicking right here. But what are you going to be looking forward to next week? Keep reading to find out.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades

This is the big maybe on the list. You might remember we wrote a big article breaking down everything you needed to know about the game earlier in the week. Well, pretty much the second that article landed, the release date of the game shifted back a week on the App Store.

In fact, the game seems to have disappeared from the coming soon section of iTunes. What to make of this? Does Bethesda hate 148Apps? Well, our guess would be the game is going to come out a week on Saturday. But there's still a small chance it might land at the weekend. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Billion Lords

Looking for a game to scratch that Dungeon Keeper itch? Well Billion Lords might just be it. It's a free to play dungeon builder that sees you hiring an army of minions in order to protect your ill-gotten gains. You're going to be fighting against other players too.

There's a lot of chaos here, so it'll be interesting to see how the monetisation fits into that. This one's from the company that brought you the Dawn Break series, so there's some weight behind it.

Small Cargo

What would happen if you took a difficult platforming game, and turned it into a job? Well, something like Small Cargo probably. It's a game all about trying to get a crate through an industrial backdrop.

Unlike industrial backdrops in the real world though, the game is filled with spikes, traps, and plenty of other obstacles that are going to smash your crate before you get it where you need to put it. It's set to be free, and it looks like a lovely slice of mobile distraction.

Wall Kickers

An always-up platformer that sees you bouncing through a tunnel. Sometimes that tunnel is in space. Sometimes it's underwater. It's always a tunnel though, and you always need to be bouncing.

This isn't just a reaction-tester though. There's some challenge here as well, with platforms you need to get behind, spikes you need to bypass, and plenty more. This could well be the perfect midcore leaper that we've all been waiting for.

The Company Game

This one is a narrative game involving solving puzzles, hacking through security, and getting to the bottom of some shady goings on at a multinational company. It's the perfect combination of head-scratching and intrigue. You'll probably feel like cyberpunk-Poirot while you're playing it.

But there's a lot more going on here than first looks might suggest. You're going to have to think in ingenious ways to solve some of the puzzles, and throwing your phone about isn't out of the question. This one will set you back 99c when it first comes out, rising to $1.99 after launch.
