It's been a pretty good week for mobile games, with the release of some exciting new names and some very excellent ports from PC and elsewhere. If you're looking to try the newest mobile games this week, we have a few recommendations for you. Here are our favorite games out this week.

Bertram Fiddle Episode 2: A Bleaker Predicklement

The somewhat silly adventures of Bertram Fiddle continue this week with episode 2 in the saga. This fantastic point and click adventure game sends you back to the Victorian era to solve a caper involving the infamous Geoff the Murderer. The game features heaps of good humor and some truly quality hand-drawn animation.

Cat Bird

Is it a cat? Is it a bird? It's Cat Bird, actually, and this stunning pixel platformer has really sunken its claws into us. It's pretty challenging as far as platformers go, but the game's charming artwork will take the edge off as you work to help Cat Bird make his way home.

Battlejack

Nexon M's new card battler combines Black Jack and RPG elements to create what is shaping up to be a massive hit. Gather a team of heroes of diverse elemental backgrounds, then head into battle, where you'll play cards with the goal of adding up to 21 to create massive attacks. Fun stuff.

Darkest Dungeon

This well-loved dungeon crawler arrived on iPad this week, with fluid, well re-designed controls fit for touch screens. Darkest Dungeon lives up to its name as a dark and gloomy rogue-like as you guide a cast of characters to confront their demons, both within themselves and in the outside world. The game's been highly praised for its excellent storytelling.

Little Red Lie

Little Red Lie is a compelling experiment in the narrative adventure genre. You must navigate lifes twists and turns, attempting to get ahead in both your financial and social situations by telling little lies to the folks you meet in the day to day.
