I had a dream last night that I would preface with a story, but instead I'll just script it out.
"Hey Jim, how's the home construction going?"
"It's going quite well... phenomenal in fact. Hang on one second Tom, I need to measure this room." Jim, instead of reaching for his measuring tape, pulls out his iPhone and turns on Sonar Ruler. The app fires up and a slight clicking sound emanates.
"What's that, are you going to blast it with your phaser? What kind of Star Trek s*&% are you trying to pull?"
Angered at the lack of respect, Jim raises his iPhone to Tom and vaporizes him, not only destroying his body, but also his soul. As he turns back to Sonar Ruler, he lays it flat and points the speaker to the wall, waiting for the sonar to pick up the wall in front of him.
"60 inches on the nose... perfect."
This dream isn't such a dream anymore (well, maybe the phaser part) because Sonar Ruler is real... and I'm pretty sure it works! I've used it a couple times at home, but can't find a measuring tape for the life of me to test the accuracy. Once I get the tape though, I'll have a review up ASAP. Until then, check out this demo video from the developer. Enjoy!
