ROME: Total War - Alexander expansion invades this summer

ROME: Total War - Alexander, the standalone expansion to the popular strategy game, is coming to iPad later this summer.

This new adventure is set a whole century before ROME: Total War, and places the focus on Alexander’s ascent to the Macedonian throne. The expansion sets players loose to conquer the Persian Empire, traveling through Central Asia to earn the title of Alexander the Great.

The expansion has been fully optimised with touch controls in mind, while enhanced visuals and an updated save system give the game a welcome retrofit.

ROME: Total War - Alexander won’t require the base game to play, and you’ll be able to buy it for $4.99 upon release sometime quite soon.
