MeteoEarth for iPad gets a new update that adds climate data and storm trackers to its list of features. Thanks to the update, users can switch over to the new climate data mode that allows them to view climate conditions for any locations, including temperatures and rainfall throughout the year.

Previously, users could only see precipitation as one item, now users can tell the difference between rain and snow. The update also enhances the lightning on cloud cover which helps users track thunderstorms and adds a new feature that lets users track tropical storms.

All this weather talk gets me excited, and it sure sounds like one hail of an update! Yeah, I just said that...
