+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

If you spend the majority of your week at the head of a classroom or lecture hall, you may want to check out PingPong - a smartphone and computer app from developer Waterbear Soft Inc.

Leave your table tennis rackets at home - PingPong isn’t that type of app. It’s actually a pretty nifty tool that allows you to communicate with the people around you who’ve gathered for the same lecture, class, or discussion.

In fact, teachers, workshop speakers, and lecturers from across the world have been using it to get real-time feedback from their audience.

PingPong doesn’t have a single use case and because you can access the service as either a host or a guest without signing up for an account or registering your details first, it’s useful for carrying out a wide variety of group activities.

You can use the app to induce questions from your audience or to assess the understanding your students have of a specific subject, for example. As the host, you can also share essential course materials stored in your Evernote account and moderate contests or quizzes that require no pre-registration from your guests.

In fact, you can use the app to perform any task that requires - among others - a multiple choice, true/false, send text, or send image function.

Naturally, it’s important that you can view the responses your guests submit straight away, which is why PingPong allows you to view all information provided by your guests in real-time with the help of graphs and lists.

You’ll also be pleased to read that PingPong has a web app available and it’s accessible on Mac, PC, and pretty much any other device that can access the web, so those who don’t own smartphones or tablets yet don’t have to be left out in the dark.

Head on over to the App Store [download] or Google Play [download] and grab PingPong for free.
