Disney Infinity, the multi-platform title that combines Disney characters and worlds together, has been delayed and given a new release date of August 18th. John Pleasants, co-president of Disney Interactive, informed the New York Times that the new release window is more favorable than the previous June window, even though they were fully confident that they could release in June. However, the added two months will provide additional time to work out all the kinks with their new exploratory game, and Mr. Pleasants also said that retailers were willing to devote significantly more shelf space to the product in August.
