Downhill biking mixed with day-to-day life management is an idea we can certainly get behind, and now, thanks to the release of Downhill Masters for Android, that theoretical combination of genres has become a reality.

The game, from developer THEM Corporation, sees you living out the life of a budding bike racer as they ascend from obscurity to stardom. The riding is fast-paced, and success is highly dependent on your ability to adapt and react to every challenge that comes your way. Restrictions on your route are also fairly loose, so feel free to seek out the quickest path to the finish line.

Then there’s also your character’s personal life to consider and play through. Devito, the most powerful of the riders, is a chef by day; Marie, the most skilled trick rider, is a fashion designer; and Steve, the fastest of the lot, is a very passionate accountant.

Challenge Mode sees you racing through 50 different stages with up to 4 other players, while the World Grand Prix is all about 1-on-1 sprints with 28 different champions. Oh, and if you plan to play on-the-go, there’s no need to worry about using up your precious mobile data as the game can be played entirely offline.

Downhill Masters can be downloaded on Android, with an iOS launch planned for later in the year.
