The best games like Animal Crossing on mobile

Posted by Jennifer Allen on November 25th, 2015

Animal Crossing amiibo Festival is out right now for the Wii U, reminding us of just how much fun that world can be. Or at least to go back and check in on our villages once in a while.

What if you don’t own a Nintendo system though? Well, here are a few mobile games that capture some of the spirit thatAnimal Crossing games have consistently provided us with over the years.

The best

Seabeard is adorable. With a world full of adventures and activities, you can delve into it at any point and simply wander.

Want to go fishing or sailing? You can do that just as easily as you can get involved in cooking or establishing trading routes.

It’s cute stuff throughout, making you feel part of a colorful and huge world full of potential.

The rest

Castaway Paradise lets you catch bugs, decorate your home, harvest crops, and chat to your neighbours.

There are more than 1,500 items to decorate with, meaning there’s plenty of variety here. It even offers special events for the holidays, just like in Animal Crossing.

Happy Street lives up to its name - it’s constantly happy and imaginative. You can explore various places from forests to the ocean, as you develop your village.

The best part? You can construct special buildings such as hotels or museums, as well as even research planes and UFOs.

Taking a slightly different direction, The Island Castaway: Lost World is more focused on missions than exploration, but it’ll be great for those Animal Crossing fans who wanted more structure to their experience.

With over 1,000 different quests, you won’t run out of things to do for a long time.

Have you been enjoyingAnimal Crossing amiibo Festival? What's your favourite alternative to take with you on the go? Let us know in the comments below!
