Ever since Craig Charles introduced me to the majesty of Robot Wars, I have loved fighting robots. Mobile Suit Gundam and Medabots grew that love, and since then, I have enjoyed games that have our mechanics' pals knocking the gears out of each other.

And this year marks the 12th anniversary of one of the most popular mobile offerings in this genre, War Robots.

War Robots has earned over $1 billion, thanks to its 325 million worldwide users. Break that down to its core, and it is over 1.5 million users each month. That places it in quite the elite club for mobile games.

Nobody can resist the call of the robo-brawls.

Even after all this time, War Robots is still finding ways to innovate itself. For example, last year it added cross-platform progression. Some people might say that this is something that should have been implemented much earlier. And you would be right, but at least it is here now.

War Robots celebrates 12 years with new robot

Enough dwelling on the past, though, as storied as it has been. Pixonic is celebrating this update in a big way, starting with a brand-new robot. Vector is designed for aggressive play, being nimble enough to pounce on foes and durable enough to keep it in the fight. It also comes with a dedicated pilot, weapons, and a drone for the full package.

Suit this beast up, and get ready to take your place in the Martian Robotic Games, a major in-game event. Here, you will select a faction to represent and fly your colours proudly in battle. Do well, and you can earn some nice rewards to prove your strength.

Outside of the action your can follow the War Robots Live Show 2026. Over six weeks, the dev team will release a series of videos on the official YouTube channel, full of fun features. So, check that out in between knocking robot heads off.

War Robots is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
