Valhalla Survival opens pre-registrations for its first anniversary event

I used to think that the constant celebration of every milestone in games was excessive. The 100-day events, half years, and so on. However, with all the studio closures and end of services we have seen lately, I feel that yeah, maybe we should cheer the survivors. And our latest is definitely one I am glad to see, as it is the Norse-themed adventure, Valhalla Survival.

Yes, the Nornir continue to weave the threads of fate for this title as developers Lionheart Studio have announced the update celebration. You can pre-register for the event now, which I still find incredibly strange. It's all online; you don’t have to rent any space. Why the headcount? 

This weird ritual is our gain, however. Pop over to the official website and pre-register before January 13th, and you will grab yourself some nice rewards. These are a Valhalla 1st Anniversary Relic, a 1st Anniversary Celebration Box, and 10 Holy Weapon Tickets. They will have to tide you over until the anniversary, which should be January 21st. 

You can also pass the time by watching the rather exciting cinematic trailer that has also been released to celebrate the year. It features Sveila doing battle against a horde in a rather effective way, tons of fire, and explosions. It also features a villain that I am assuming is Mimir? Based on the wood aspect, and the book that implies knowledge.

It is an important trailer for two reasons.

First, explosions are cool. Second, if you log in after the 1st anniversary update, then you will receive Sveila and a legendary weapon for free. It doesn’t specify that it is hers, but we can assume. What’s more, you can choose to take your spoils onto a new server that is opening, titled Thor. Mjolnir not included.
