Splash Cars guide - How to paint the town red

Splash Cars is an arcade driving game that feels like a hybrid between Dawn of the Plow and Splatoon.

There will be other vehicles present in Splash Cars, but if they're driving around in their dull, monochrome colors, they'll also be spitting out dull exhaust that will ruin any color you've brought back to the world.

You could run these cars off the road and make them disappear, but an even better strategy is to pass them closely to paint them.

When these cars are painted, their cars will also spit out paint, which will help you cover a lot more ground on any given level.

The primary challenge in Splash Cars is managing your car's fuel so that it doesn't run out before you've painted a good percentage of any given level. Because of this, you might feel tempted or compelled to pick up every gas can you see as soon as you see it.

Avoid this temptation! In most cases, you're better off driving around a stage and making note of gas cans while widely avoiding them. If you do this, you can be a more efficient painter when you do replenish gas and you'll likely never waste one by topping off too early.

As you play Splash Cars, you'll continually unlock new powerups that will litter themselves around stages. This sounds great and all, but not every powerup is the most beneficial. For example, you wouldn't want to pick up a powerup that makes your car much larger on a level with lots of walls and other debris, because you'll probably crash everywhere.

Even though you can't choose which powerups will appear in a stage, you can be selective about which ones you actually need. If you do that, you'll have a much easier time continuing to paint and rack up a good score.
