Snowbreak: Containment Zone celebrates two glorious years by releasing a duo of frost-based juggernauts

When I played Snowbreak: Containment Zone, I genuinely found it one of the most fun gacha games. This is why I am delighted that the second anniversary event, Concord Ode, has kicked off. It contains a duo of new characters, a host of events, and a fresh, shiny base area.

Let’s start with the fun stuff, our new heroes. Katya - Rhapsody is a frost DPS that debuts with the Cobalt Cyclone gatling gun for some sustained damage. It also imparts Frost vulnerability to enemies if the unending stream of bullets wasn’t enough. She is available via gacha until August 10th.

If you pair her with Tess - Phantasia, you will melt anyone. She is a support character who enhances allies' Frost-type damage. What’s better, the bonuses scale with the number of shots fired, making her perfect for a certain gatling-wielding powerhouse. Pull for her Valiant Heart assault rifle that extends Support Skill duration, and you are onto a winner. You can grab Tess and her signature logistics if you log in on July 24th.

You will be able to meet and bond with your new friends in the Cozy Parlor base, a new area themed after a bar. There are interactions based around bartending, band performances, stage shows and more. A laid-back area to relax after a challenging mission.

The anniversary event is also packing a heap of events to enjoy. Bluff or Blush is a card game that can grant experience, and Star Master puts you in charge of Builder Island. You can assign employees to manage buildings, with each of them having their own strengths and weaknesses to balance, so you can maximise profit.

If you fondly remember the board-flipping fun of Monopoly, you can enjoy the Snowbreak version with Gold Rush Part. Finally, Garden Mayhem does exactly what you are expecting. You collect, grow, and upgrade vegetables, and add them to your healthy armour to defeat enemies. I imagine this is what farmers do all day.
