Pokemon TCG Pocket releases solo event with an adorable Gible promo up for grabs

It is with a lot of trepidation that I say this, but it appears that Pokemon TCG Pocket is heading in the correct direction with the recent launch of the Triumphant Light set. Add to this the new Gible promo event that has kicked off, and I might be able to stop hating on it every five minutes.
As with each new set, we find ourselves with the single-player promo drop event. This time, it is Gible, with a rather fetching card art it must be said. The little fella is on a mountain screaming to the heavens, and all I can picture is an adorable little squeak coming out. Of course, all that adorability wears off quickly when it evolves into Garchomp EX and wrecks both your face and your bench. The event will last until March 17th, as is customary, a timeline that I still maintain is just woefully inadequate. Either way, you can rack up a few Promo Pack A Series Vol 5’s, and stuff your binder full of Gibles, Nosepasses, Raichus, Cherrims and Staraptors.

Let’s also not forget that the current set of Special Missions that are going on deep into March. Completing these will get you the Bright Room Frame (backdrop) for your display boards, as well as three packs for each of the Space-Time Smackdown Dialga and Palkia. However, these are not the best prizes.
I have been particularly vocal about my burning dislike of the Pokemon TCG Pocket trade system, and I shall continue to be, it is absolute rubbish. Having said that, I can see that the developers are finally taking steps to resolve this, at least a bit. To which, there are 1,000 Trade Tokens available to collect with not too taxing a task to complete. Objectively the “worst” mission is obtaining a flair, but I am sure we all have Pidgeys up the wazoo by now.
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
