When I was but a young lad, one of the fad toys was inexplicably Tamagotchis. Little handheld devices where you raised a small pet, trained it, watched it grow, then inevitably got bored and left it to die. Play Together is hoping to get in on this type of craze with its new Minime system. Just, hopefully not with the same last step.

We are definitely on a comedown from the last update with huge eldritch seabeasts, but we shall persevere. Why can’t we raise one of them?! Anyway, the Minime system allows you to become a sitter who can apply at the Minime Care Center to raise their own Minime.

Each of these has different stats that change based on how you interact with it. You can also change their future by doing so. Take one fishing and you may raise the next great fisherman. When they hit a certain level, you can keep them around or send them into the world. They will get a job, and you'll have another outcome recorded in your Minime Album.

There is a lot to this update, so Play Together has added a few missions to teach you the system. You can also collect rewards through the Minime Growth Journal or enjoy the Doctor Bebe’s Drop Machine minigame. To play this, you will need to collect Teddy Coins by completing missions.

It is totally worth it, however, as you can win Minime profiles, Gems, and the Bebe Teddy costume. I am sure that's what every child wants to see when they are picked up from the center for the first time: a giant bear. For more and much easier rewards, all you need to do is log in during the Baby Bear Attendance Event. Which, if you have a Minime, you should be doing every day anyway. This will grant you Theme Draw Tickets, Premium Card Packs, and a Teddy Backpack.

Play Together is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
