Play Together embraces the eldritch with massive deep sea fish

Normally, when you think of massive underwater fish, you would think of Dredge or perhaps Jaws, real end is nigh stuff basically. It is precisely because of this that I think Haegin is going for a bit of a genre shift, as cute social game Play Together welcomes the Sea Monster update.
More proof of this is how the story begins. The great sea beast sinks the Majesty, a ship that is supposed to protect Kaia Island, but is clearly bad at it. You must then head over to the Resort and take on missions such as rescuing the crew and rebuilding the Majesty. Last month was photo booths. This is a huge swing.
Then you must take the battle to these deep-sea fiends, engaging in a fierce mano-a-mano duel at either end of a fishing line. There are eight monsters to catch, as well as 13 new guppies, which kills this whole narrative a bit. I want the Kraken, not Nemo. You can find the giants in the Resort, or head to places like the remote island pond or coral reefs for the baby fish.

As you foil Cthulhu and beat Godzilla back to the depths, you will complete missions and earn golden compasses. With these, you can unleash your inner pirate and partake in the Find the Treasures of the Sea minigame. Don’t forget to engage with the Ship Log Attendance event too, for extra compasses, theme draw tickets, and a fish finder.
To commemorate these new fishing zones, Play Together will host the Monstrous Deep Sea Fishing Tournament, starting June 7th. You will compete to catch the largest fish, and given that these beasts are two to three times larger than the current biggest fish, we are going to get some massive numbers. First place will get 100 Gems and 10 Draw Tickets, second place will get 75 and 7, third place gets 50 and 5, and so on.
Play Together is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
