United States players get a chance to trail SD Gundam G Generation Eternal next month
Everyone has a favourite game developer, and a contender for me has always been Bandai Namco. Ever since I was a kid they put out some amazing titles; Digimon World, .hack, the Tales of Series, Freedom Wars, I could go on. And I will, with news of the upcoming strategy game SD Gundam G Generation Eternal.
That's a bit of a title, so let’s stick with Gundam. Everyone knows of the Gundam series; the multi-national smash hit mecha franchise. It spawned countless anime, movies, games, toys, and more. They are great flashy action pieces and I love them, and soon so can mobile users around the world.
Unfortunately, being as chronically British as I am, I won't be able to take part in the upcoming Network Test. Gundam will be available for use in the United States from January 23rd to the 28th on both Android and Apple, which is a very generous timeframe to be sure. It is not guaranteed of course, and you will need to register to be in with a chance.
The application period is open now and will last until January 7th, so there's plenty of time to sign up. Places are incredibly limited though, with only 1,500 people being selected. You will know if you are picked after January 17th, so enjoy sitting in that uncomfortable waiting period.
Those lucky few who get an entry that I shall be immensely jealous of will get to try out Gundams’ strategy gameplay in multiple ways. There will be stages based on Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation, and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. There will be brand-new units to collect and update, before sending them to face the Fierce Enemy Assault. This is endgame-level content with massive rewards, so get grinding.
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal will be available on Android and Apple upon launch.
