Jaws.io is one of those games that just shouldn't be as much fun as it is. But it is as much fun as it is, so there you go. It's a game all about eating things, shooting a giant shark, and trying to score as many points as possible. And if there's points to be scored, you can bet that there are hints, tips, and tricks to be found as well. Which is where this article comes in.

We've put a good few hours into the game, and we've discovered some tactics that we think are going to help you out when you decide to give it a go. Obviously we'd love to hear your hints and tips too, if you've got any, so do drop any suggestions you've got in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

Oh, and make sure you click here to check out the other exciting guides and how-tos we've been creating over the past few months. We've covered some of the biggest, most interesting games on the App Store, and we bet we've found something that'll help you out. You don't have to thank us though, it's what we do. Okay, on with the Jaws.io tips and tricks.

Keep moving

Whether you're playing as the titular shark or one of the boats that's trying to kill it, you need to keep on the move. Stationery targets are much easier to hit, sink, and eat, so making sure you're always keeping active is the best way to avoid that.

It also means that you're going to be scoring points - when you're moving you're going to be rescuing or nomming down on swimmers, sharks, and all of the other bits and bobs that the game puts around the levels for you to pick up.

Work the edge

When you become Jaws, it's a good idea to head to the edge of the map and eat everything there. There are plenty of boats, swimmers, and all manner of other things waiting to be shoved down your gullet. More often than not the boats will stick to the middle of the map, giving you a chance to grow.

Then, when you've built up your dash meter, move into the middle of the map and start killing other players. You'll be bigger, you'll have your special move ready to use, and you'll be more likely to survive the onslaught of attacks that are going to get thrown at you.

Change your skins

When you've got a chance, try out some of the different skins you unlock through play. They offer slightly different stats, as well as making you look way cooler. Oh, you're playing as regular Jaws? Yeah, we're playing as awesome battle-scarred Jaws, suck it.

You'll earn new skins by completing missions, and you can check what those missions are by tapping on the skins screen. You don't have to work through the game to get them, you can spend some real money if you'd like.

Get to safety?

When you die you've got a few seconds as a raft to get to somewhere safe. The thing is though, there's nowhere safe in the game, not really. Instead you should use that time to move towards some items that you can grab instantly when you respawn, meaning you're going to be tougher, quicker.

You can even use the opportunity to follow another player, pop up behind them, and destroy them before they even know what's going on. Jaws.io is one of those games where you need to use every advantage you can, and this is one of them.
