The last day of the week has rolled around again, so it's time to put up your feet, pour a glass of cognac, and wonder where you should be spending your money. If I might make a suggestion, the games on this here list are the finest currently on sale for iPhone and iPad, so maybe grab some of them?

We've got download links. We've got review links. We've got videos. We've got everything you need to make an informed purchase. And if you think we're missing anything from our far from extensive list, feel free to make your own suggestions in the comments at the bottom of the article.

Tiny Defense 2 - download for iOS (now Free)

A side-on tower defense game that, while it's never going to set the world on fire, is still well worth checking out. And since it's free, you don't really have an excuse for not picking it up. Plus you get to lead an army of robots in massive attacks on other, meaner robots. What's not to like about that?

Jade Empire - download for iOS (now $4.99)

Hands-down one of Bioware's finest piece of works. Alongside KOTOR (which is also on sale), it stands as part of a duo of brilliant Western RPGs that came out during the era of the original Xbox. If you've not played this one yet, you really should. It might not be quite perfect on mobile, but it's a damn-sight better than most other games on the App Store.

Siege of Dragonspear - download for iOS (now $8.99)

The first piece of original content for Baldur's Gate in yonks only made its way onto the App Store a few months back, but you can pick it up for a little bit cheaper than usual right now. It's a massive, sprawling game that wears its retro heart on its puffy little sleeve. If you're looking for something deep this weekend, look no further.

60 Seconds! Atomic Adventure - download for iOS (now 99c)

A game all about the last minute in the world. You're running about your family home, trying desperately to grab everything you need before you dive into a bunker and try and outlast the apocalypse. It's a silly game, albeit one with a pretty dark message, and for just 99c it's a steal.

Her Story - download for iOS (now $2.99)

One of the finest achievements in videogame story-telling, Her Story is all about a murder. And you need to piece together the clues to figure out who did it, and why. It's all told through a video screen as you scan through clips from police interviews. And it's brilliant. Seriously, just grab it, you won't be disappointed.

Danmaku Unlimited 2 - download for iOS (now 99c)

If you love bullet hell shooters, you've probably already got this one. If you're a little unsure about the genre though, this is a great place to start. Weave through streams of neon death, blast everything that moves, and try and take down enormous bosses. Its equally good sequel is also on sale for the same price.

Fliplomacy - download for iOS (now 99c)

A logic puzzle dressed up as a game of politics. It's smart in all the right ways, and while the first few levels might feel a bit easy, once things start to open up you'll discover a bright, rich game that's going to keep you playing into the wee small hours. Which is a good thing, so long as you don't mind missing out on sleep.
