Tempo Smart Calendar Links Up With Uber

Posted by on August 21st, 2014
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Tempo AI updated their Tempo Smart Calendar last month, with the integration of Waze and easier event creation among the features added. Today, the app will receive another update – this time to add in Uber support, making it the first (and currently only) calendar app with Uber integration.

Within the app, users can now see estimated Uber pick-up times and possible car types and fares, and make a request for a trip from within the app. If they make a request, the driver will already know where to pick up from and were to go, as these details are passed over from the calendar to Uber.

Tempo Smart Calendar is available to download now for free from the App Store.

iPhone App - Designed for iPhone, compatible with iPad

Universal TranWare has been digitally improving upon taxi and limousine services for years, and they’ve just released their latest handy bit of tech onto the App Store.

NexTaxi is an app that keeps the rider’s needs in mind. Thanks to their iOS device’s GPS functionality users can call for and track a taxi, while the app finds a nearby licensed (very important) car to send. It actually integrates into the dispatching system to make finding a cab (and a fare) easier and faster. Users can also pay for their ride directly through the app with no need to fish for pocket change.

Anyone who uses cabs with any regularity can download NexTaxi for free right now and enjoy using the service throughout one of close to 50 different cities, including New York, Orlando, Iowa City, Augusta, Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, the Chicago area, and more.

iPhone App - Designed for the iPhone, compatible with the iPad
Fare City is a line-drawing game with a taxi twist. It's a lot of fun and offers tons of options. Just be aware that you need to sink some time into this one; it's not for quick sessions!

Sure, it's a spin-off, but a pretty decent one. The game is more complex than I expected and was pretty fun. It could use some tuning up though.
